Our Little Roses Home for Girls
Nurturing the Girl Child
From Infancy to Independence

In January, 1988, the Episcopal Diocese of  Honduras opened Our Little Roses Home for young girls in a rented house in San Pedro Sula.  The first permanent home was built in 1992 on property given by the city of San Pedro Sula.  The Ginger Buice Memorial Transition Home, located a few blocks from OLR campus provides a safe home for recent OLR graduates seeking higher education or entering the work place.

“The mission of Our Little Roses is dedicated to providing the best possible environment that reflects God’s love where our girls can grow in freedom to be whole, happy and equipped to meet the challenges of life.  The juvenile court places girls in the home, but provides no financial support.”

St. Stephen’s has been supporting the Home since the mid 1990’s.  Letter of thanks from Diana Frade, Founder and President.  Currently the members support:

Leila J. Amador                        Wendy V. Enamorado

                                  Abigail Cribas                            Maria Jose Marga

Apart from direct donation, support comes through the thank offerings made weekly as members come to the Altar Rail for prayer at the time of Birthdays and Anniversary of Marriage.  Basic support is $720.00 per girl.
